1 - Get Organized

a-De-clutter has much as you can whether you believe in the power of Feng-Shui or not. With as much as we all buy these days we can certainly afford to get rid of something. Whether it’s your desk at work or your closet you will feel much better for finely tackling that ‘demon’. A messy room or house can be a mental drain. Not only can it waste a lot of your time but it is taxing on the mind. That is why many of us just can’t deal with it. We already feel too busy thus the downward spiral begins.  At some point it does not matter how many boxes or shelves you have available the sheer volume is overwhelming. Get rid of the stuff!  Pick a weekend and plan to clean up at least one room. Get the family or friends to pitch-in if necessary. Make a donation to a local charity with the items you no longer need. The energy of the room will be uplifting. You’ll likely be inspired to start another room or two the following weekend. Soon enough you will feel you can actually relax in any room in the house. Our links regarding de-cluttering and Feng-Shui (see below) may help.

b-Time Management Activities:If it’s your time that needs to be organized then you need to likely be reminded of priorities. What is truly important and what is urgent. Examine the differences. Urgent means to do so immediately. It may not be important it simply needs your attention right away. What is the definition of important? You need to make the time to relax and say NO more often to those urgent things that you now realize may not be all that important.

Get a planner or calendarorganize your time so that you make the most of it. Get up a little earlier to get your day organized. Take a little time everyday to plan ahead. Think through the day, week or even the next 2 months. When planning we are making a conscious decision into how we intend our day or week to roll-out in front of us. Take this time to think; Am I driven by the trivial many or the critical few? What are the large diamonds? The rest may be gravel. Thus don’t over-schedule trivial items into you day.
